Rick Borders

Lead guitarist, Rhythm guitarist, Lead vocal, Backup vocal

Rick Borders began playing bass guitar in 1976 at the age of 13. By the time he was 16 years old, he was performing with "The New Country Squires", with well over 100 gigs a year.

In 1983, Rick's musical career as a performer was put on-hold, while he served in the US Air Force. During his break from performing, Rick spent time mastering the acoustic and lead guitars. His assignments in the Air Force also served to broaden his musical tastes and introduced him to bluegrass, rock, blues, and alternative music styles. Rick returned to performing country music full-time as a bass guitarist in 2003, with the band “Cache Creek”.

In 2008, Rick formed the band Cadillac Cowboys as the lead guitarist.

Rick's musical influences include Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the Eagles.

Rick also credits his father, David Borders with building his musical foundation.
